Our work in Ethiopia has taught us valuable lessons on working with diverse communities, navigating the challenges of women’s health in resource-limited settings, and, more specifically, working in Ethiopia. This is a place for you to learn about our work and the lessons we’ve learned from the field.

My name is Sr Nuniyat Daniel. While working at Sr Aklesia Hospital as a nurse ,out of many on job trainings that I was given , the Cervical Cancer screening program training provided by IPRH was the most important. Three nurses including myself namely, Sr Rediat, Sr Atitegeb and Sr Nuniyat, were trained for two weeks with material and other supports from the hospital which helped so many women who were engaged in government as well as private companies that had a medical agreement with the hospital. Moreover , women coming to the hospital for other medical attentions were also given awareness of the program and were able to be beneficiary of the service. I myself has benefited as it has build my capacity to a higher professional level. This opportunity should be scaled up and be implemented in other facilities too, to have a great impact in fighting the cervical cancer which is impacting the disease burden of the nation.
Most sincerely
